I am a descendant of Georg Adam Uebelhoer, a stone mason who was born in Germany on Aug. 1, 1823. He emigrated from Germany in 1851. His ship the Rhine arrived in New York on April 28, 1851. Soon after arriving in America, he married Louisa Brunner. Together they had the following children: Augustus, Lillian Sophia, Caroline Mary, Henrietta, Irene, Rosetta, Frank, and Louise. By 1860, the family was living in Armstrong Twp., Lycoming County, South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Sometime after coming to this country, Georg's last name, "Uebelhoer," became "Evilhare," which is the spelling found on his tombstone in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Williamsport, PA.

MY QUESTIONS: Who were the parents of Georg Uebelhoer? Who were Georg's siblings? In which town or village was Georg born in Germany? (Two PA censuses state that he was from Baden, Germany. However, on the ship's passenger list it is stated that Georg was from Bavaria.)
