my grandmother ws an "ulrey", although it has been said that due to heavy accents while coming through to the u.s., names were written as they sounded. it has been mentioned in my family that it was most likely spelled ulrich at one time. i have quite a few pages on our family, having come from germany, and ending up in washington co. pa.in the 1800s, but it is too much to share at this moment. by mid 1800s a lot had moved to knox county,oh, as well as kalida, among other places.
looking through my notes, i saw a john ulrey who was in the revolutionary war, and had married a woman named elizabeth arnold. they had 10 children; stephen, agnes, elizabeth, david, daniel, john, george, jacob, mary, and joseph. some names are similar to the ones kate(reynolds) mentioned. in flipping through pages i found other "given" names that were corresponding. if anyone is interested please reply. thank you.
