Hey Scott,

You know how married couples wind up associated with a primary set of parents (HIS or HER'S/maternal or paternal)? My Dad's folks were connected strongly to the Unser's. Most of Grandma Smith's Unser folks attended her 50th wedding anniv in the 60's. BUT my folks were more involved with the folks on my mother's side.

We were all in Fresno..and the Unser's after Lorenz died(albeit many years) wound up in Porterville..which is where my Dad was born.

BTW, I guess you know that Lorenz came over here with Siegfried a younger brother. And there is no sign of him after he gets on the Adalaide Metcalf.

Don't know if he joined the Union army and was killed, but he never wound up in Michigan...they did have lots of family in Ohio as that's where Lorenz was married.
