Louris Jansen Opdyck/Gysbert Lodowick Op Dyck

Surnames: Updike, Updyke
Does anybody know of a connection between the above two immigrants? My wife is a descendant of Louris (along with writer John Updike) and I am a descendant of Gysbert. Just curious if we have a common ancestor back there somewhere. Louris apparently came from the Netherlands, and Gysbert from the Rhineland
