Yes, it's a bit confusing! Too many people to keep track of. My immediate family is quite small, so it's pretty simple.

Sorry to hear that your sister recently passed - my sympathies. Eliu certainly had a lot of children! I've been on these ancestry forums for a few years trying to find info about ancestors - especially on my own father's side. He passed away when I was young and I have a half-sister I've never met from his previous marriage, as well as an aunt and uncle I've never met. So I've posted on here in hopes of connecting with people who are related. I'm surprised you found my post after it sitting there for so long, but that's very cool! My mom will be happy to hear of this.

A little about us: my mom had two children - myself and my older brother Rick. Both of us are married; my husband and I are expecting our first any day now and I'm sure my brother and his wife will be trying soon. As far as my grandmother (Eliu's second wife), she turns 87 or 88 this year and although she has slowed down in recent years, she's still a feisty, active lady. Her other daughter, Renee, is alive and well and lives with her. My grandmother remarried after Eliu and had a son from that marriage, my uncle Rick. He and his wife have three children together.

My mom is doing well - still lives in South Florida. Her boyfriend at the time she visited you passed away in 2007, so she's alone now. My brother and I both relocated to Colorado and we're trying to convince her to eventually move out here.

I have tons of pictures of our family online in various places and I'd be happy to send them to you. I have a family tree that profiles my grandmother's side. I think you can find it by searching the family tree tab above and look for "Ayala/Del Castillo."

I'd love to see photos of your side of the family. I'll keep an eye out for them. My e-mail is dballkearns@gmail.com. It's been great learning some family history. I know my mom felt like she missed out on a lot of this growing up so I'm glad she had the chance to meet you all - it meant a lot to her. I wish I could do the same and find my half-sister and aunt and uncle from my dad's side, but it's proving tricky!

I'm glad you checked back.
(3rd Family)There were 6 of us 4 boys and 2 girls. The girl both past away the oldest Mary just recently past on August 9th. We were the last family your Grandfather had until he pastaway in 1977.
(1st Family)The El Paso side there was only a boy and a girl. Lee jr past away. The girl lives in Austin,Tx. Your Grandfather was born in Seguin,Tx. Which 1/2 way between Austin and San Antonio,Tx.
(2nd Family) is your mom and Renee.
I had a talk with my cousin Sandra, she's your cousin from Uncle Roy who was my father's brother he pasted away last year. Anyway Sandra told me she has pictures of your grandfarther my (dad) when they where growning up. She promised me a cd with all the pictures. When I get it, I will mail it to you. Sandra also has a family tree data she has been working on. So when get that I will make you a copy. I keep intouch with my dad's first marriage family and some of our cousins. they live in El Paso, Tx. My wife's is also from El Paso, so go there every couple years. To visit my family and her's.

Thanks for the info. My mom told me about her visit and meeting some of her siblings in Oxnard. I'm guessing this makes you my uncle. I was curious - do you have any photos of Eliu? I'm putting together a baby book for my firstborn (she's due in a week) and I don't think we have any pictures of my grandfather. Exactly how many siblings does my mom have from relationships Eliu had after my mom and her sister were born? What can you tell me about your family now?

My name is Robert Lee Urias and my Father is Eliu(Lee)Urias Our Family was his Last,before he pasted on. I have met your mother, when she was in California a few years back and she came to my home. I never asked her about her children. There were six sibling in his last family 4 boys and 2 girls. Now there are only 4 boys left. My 2 girl since the latest was August 9th. I have met my father's 1st family, they live in El Paso,Tx and have been in constant contact with them. My father's first boy has pasted on , but a sister still lives in Austin,Tx. I believe I had a Great Aunt by the name of Adela Urias
who possibly married a Hernandez. She had 2 sisters by the names of Juana Urias(Rodriguez) and Lucila Urias, and 4 brothers name Mateo Urias, Tomas Urias, Marcelino Urias and Donaciano Urias who was my Grandfather.
He died about the age of 96 in the 70's. He married Anita Corral. They lived in Santa Paula, CA.
Sons: Alfonso Urias (Santa Paula, CA) and Frank Urias (my Father)also of Santa Paula.
Daughters:Celia Urias Jimenez(LA, CA), Elanore Urias Ramirez,(Oxnard, CA), Ramona Urias Chavez (Santa Paula),

Yo soy hija de Alejandro (Chito Urias ) primo hermano de Nando Urias siento decirte que mi papa ya murio y creo que Nando tambien pero recuerdo que mi papa los mencionaba a todos ellos la que nos podria dar informacion es mi mama pero ella esta muy enferma de Parkinson y solo por ratos tiene un poco de lucidez. Mi papa nos conto una vez que a tu mama la habian adoptado Matias y su esposa en unos campos de tomate para el lado de Culiacan no se si ya tengas esa informacion si te interesa y todavia necesitas ayuda contestame porque uno de mis hermanos es muy amigo de Nando jr.Espero poder ayudarte Byee..

I noticed that a lot of you have family coming from Ft. Stockton. Are any of those relate to the Urias family from Marfa, Presidio co.,Texas? My great grandmother and her family was from there. Her father was William Urias and her mother Eledia Mendosa. She also had 2 brothers, Abalardo and Armando Urias. And two siblings who died as infants, Wm and Corrine Urias. My biological grandfather is Eliu (Lee) Urias who was briefly married to my grandmother, Aida, and had two daughers, Orquidia (my mom) and Renee. I believe my mom got to meet some of her half-brothers and sisters in Oxnard, Calif., but I wanted to throw this out here in case anyone is connected to our family. I'd love to learn about this side of my family, my bio grandfather, and our Mexican heritage. Thanks.

Sorry it took so long to reply, your grandfather's name sounds very familiar. My grandfather was Felix Urias who was married to Juana Venegas. My father was Felix Urias who married my mom Manuela Vasquez of Pecos. My father Felix was born in Buena Vista, Chihuhua. There were 12 children born to Felix and Juana Urias.

I now live in Ft. Worth. I hope this helps.

I am a bit confused, i thought Jose C. Urias born Nov 26, 1906-Jan 4, 1982 was married to a Herminie Jaquez who died on May 9, 1936 in Ft. Stockton, Texas. Is this wrong? Also Did he marry twice because on the Information I got from Ft. Stockton Funeral Home it stated that his spouse at the time of death was Lupe Hernandez.

I know that all the family desendent from my family all came from Chihuahua, Mexico but I don't have your Father listed under my list, My great-great-great grandfather was Manuel Urias, I know that he had 9 children, one child being captured by Indians and taken to Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, but we just found the information out not to long ago, his name was Felipe I believe. Manuel had all boys and one girl(Romanita), we have very little information on the girl because she stayed in ciudad Acuna, we know she married a Gabriel Lozano. You definately have hit the nail on the head. Jose and Erminia Urias were my grandparents. I never had the chance to know them. My mother is Virginia and the rest of the names Jose Jr and Alfredo Urias are my uncles. The later is still living in Fort Stockton. I am also related to Luis Urias. He was my natural father. Hello. My name is Carla Manjarrez. My mother's maiden name is Minerva Urias. She too is now a Manjarrez. She has seven brothers and 2 sisters. She and her nine siblings are sons and daughters to Julian and Carmen Urias. My grandparents have 41 grandchildren and who knows how many great grandchildren. My grandmother, Carmen, passed away in November of 1995. Most of my family still lives in the Southern California area. I see my family often. I am very close to my cousins. I am trying to locate all the Urias on my grandfather's side of the family. His name was Alfredo Urias Barraza, married to Isidora Grado. They lived in northern Mexico and parts of Texas. He worked as mail carrier between Alpine and Lajitas or Terlingua Texas. They had five children, Delfina (Ochoa), Maria (Ochoa) deceased, Socorro (Cervantes), Paula (Alvidrez), and Alfredo Urias Jr.

His grandfather was Ignacio Carraso Urias and his grandmother was Josefina Urias (her birth name was Benedita). My husband has an aunt in Pecos, Texas. was from the urias family from Altar,Atil,Oquitoa Her parents
were Juan Urias and Angela Garcia I have done a lot of
research on the family, I believe your grandfather was from
the family of Jose loreto Urias first marriage to Rita Bejarano
