hi,jakes middle name starts with an f.,if its the same jake urick that is related to me which i think it is,because i know your sister,as kids we use to visit,jake was born in ohio,he had two other brothers,lloyd solomon,which is my dad,danial, but we called him uncle deb,he had a sister martha,an maybe mary,but unsuer,of mary,jakes mothers name is minnie may schott,she is believed to be full indian,an dads name is john henry urick,minnie was born around 1888,in indiana,her an john were married in 1904,also in indiana,minnie died when my dad was young between 1921 an 1925,ive been searching the uricks an schotts for a long time if you find any infor send me a few lines,oh by the way im dianas sister

Looking for information on my g, g, g, grandfather, Isaac Uhrich/Uric/Urich/Eurick/Urick could be more spellings. Current family spelling is Urick. Isaac was born between 1808 and 1815 in Ohio. He married Harriet M. Boyd in Adams County Indiana on 16 Mar 1848.
Their children were:
James R, born about 1850 in Ohio (my g, g, grandfather)
Robert B., born about 1853 in Indiana
Sabilia S., born about 1854 in Ohio

Isaac and his family can be found in the 1860 census in Decatur, Adams County, Indiana, 1870 in Washington, Adams County, Indiana and in 1880 in Van Wert, Van Wert County, Ohio. In 1880, in Van Wert, Ohio Isaac and his wife are living close to their son James and his wife Martha Eurick.

Isaac’s parents may have been John and Maria Barbara (Borroway) Uhirch.

I think we tie into Mathias and Lydia Urick. Our great great grandmother was Nancy Urick, born 14 apr 1825 in botetourt, "Virginia. She died 18 Mar 1897 in Davis City, Decatur, Iowa. Nancy married Arnold or Arnon D. Sparling in Lawrence Co, Ohio on 27 June 1842. Do you have any information on Mathias and Lydia and their ancestry?

john died at the county hos which is now a museum uncle jake also died at county as did margerst and my dad died at his place of employment
john died fro prostate cancer and lloyd from heart infection im not sure yet about jake i do know that my dad was born in elkart and john was born in ohio and his first wife was german and indian as was he

I'm not researching Urick/Nischwitz but since my family refuses to be found I wanted to help you. Do you think it possible that Adeline is Dorothy' Nischwitz's child by a prior marriage? I don't have access to Ohio records but have you found a marriage between Dorothy/Dora and Philip? Their ch were born in OH are you possibly reading DO (meaning ditto) as Virginia (VA)? Peter and Barbara are listed as twins in 1870 census. Barbara 47 and single is living with father Philip in 1900 Springfield indexed as Nischartz. It lists his birth Dec 1823 76 wd Germany immigrated 1838. Since he lived in Springfield at least 40 years I would suspect there would be an obit. Family connect lists DOD 1902.

I am looking for any information on URICK families from Ohio and Virginia. My great grandmother, Adeline Louisa URICK was born in Ohio Sept. 1, 1846, but was not raised by her parents. In 1850 Adeline was living with the Philip Nischwitz family along with a possible brother, Phillip URICK born about 1838 in VA., in Cincinnati. Adeline may have other brothers, Benjamin L. URICK born about 1842 in VA and Peter born about 1843, also a sister Barbara born about 1835 in VA. I am hoping that someone will look up the URICK name in any books they may have for death, probate or any other records that mentions the above names. Thank you so much!

Great grandfather was married for the first time in Minnesota to a lady by the name of Josephine, they then came to Michigan where josephine died and he married Mary or Dora not sure which was first if anyone has any information on this please contact me. I have a computer at home but it is not online accessable, I use the one at work or i can go to the library. After my state taxes come in I will pick up another computer and will be able to go online at home. I will be here if you need to call me on Saturday to. Catharine Urick b. 1805 d. 1876 m Daniel Dillinger b.1803 d. 1883. They were probably married in Cumberland County, PA as they were there for the 1850 Census. They left PA in 1852 and relocated to Clinton County, IN where they were still living at the time of their deaths. Children include William, Sarah b. 1829, John b. 1832, Mary Ann B. 1834, Susan b. 1836, Rebecca Ellen b 1842, Jacob b. 1843, Elmira Jane b. 1849, Eliza Ann, and Daniel b. 1836. Eliza Ann, Danial and William did not appear on either the 1850 Census in PA or the 1860 Census in IN so they may have been older. The children listed in either census were born in PA. Does anyone have information on parents or siblings of either Danial or Catharine?

I am looking for any information on Mathais URICK, born about 1770 to 1780, married to Lydia Downey about 1800 and lived in Botetourt Co., VA from 1810 to at least 1830. I know they had at least two sons, one born between 1800 and 1805, the other 1815-1820, and four daughters born between 1800- 1825. I am looking for the names of the children, especially the sons. I do have a marriage record for Philip and Doretha Nischwitz, and shes not Adeline's mother, unfortunately. As for reading Ditto " as VA, nope, it is VA. This URICK and CLARK family of mine has been really difficult to trace since I believe they were both orphaned, Adeline before 1850 census and William before 1856. I really appreciate your help, I do the same thing when I run across something that may help our fellow researchers. Have a good day!
