Traction Engine Goes Down with Two Men, Killing One

Hillsboro, Texas, July 8 - As Linn Ury and Beecher Epting were taking a steam thrasher over a bridge across a creek near Abbott, in this county, today the bridge gave way, precipitating the traction engine on both men into the creek. Ury was caught under the engine and killed. Epting had one foot caught and came near being drowned before he could be rescued. His injuries are not considered dangerous.
