Hi Terry - Since this is not my line, it is not easy to find in my files. I did search as much as I have time to right now. If you go to the Goodenough message board you will find a message similiar to this one. I scanned the pages for a couple of people on that board last year. Ok...my Great Aunt is the grandaughter of Rueben K Ustick and the daughter of Rueben M Ustick. Rueben K was married 3 times (I have a copy of marriage licence to 1). Mary F Ustick was born in 1915 which is impossible that is Annie's daughter. She wrote me down all the children's name's and births. There was 6 kids from 1st marriage. 3 from 2nd and 2 from the last. My aunt grew up with all her aunts and uncles in Texas and remember's them well. Anyways email me and maybe we can figure it out...i have a newspaper cliping also with Rueben K on it. imsometerificpig@att.net

Hi, hmm, maybe we have it messed up but I have that Mary Florine USTICK, daughter of Rueben Kelly USTICK and Annie Armandy ALFRED , was born April 01, 1915. Rueben Kelly USTICK was born April 27,1857 and He died April 30, 1941

I am happy to inform you that the Rev. John Ustick was a relative of mine. I was just working the the Ustick Registry and have the information you need.

Rev. John Ustick was the pastor of Earlville Presbyterian Church from 11-1-1856 to 10-21-1884 the day of his death.

I hope this helps you with your search. If you have a copy of the marriage cert. with Rev. John Ustick named on it, I would love to get a copy from you.

Yes, I have the same Register, Second Part. I am a direct descendant I am the third great granddaughter of Ann Taylor Ustick, born Feb. 22, 1799 died June 27, 1865. I have a lot of information on her direct descendants. I also have a copy of the Ustick Family Register. I believe this is the first Register. I have info posted at Rootsweb and Ancestry.com.

Let me know if you need anything specific. Are you a relative, I noticed your name was spelled differently.

I have two photos for you. One is of the Reverend and the other of his wife. The photos were part of a collection I just acquired, and as far as I can tell, these are the only Usticks in the collection. The photos were taken by J.A. Skinner in Earlville, IL, so it sounds like we have a match.

I am seeking information about the American branch of the Ustick family. I understand that initially two brothers Ustick married sisters and one pair travelled to Australia in search of Gold and the other pair went to the staes and ? found Silver near Boise in Idaho. Any help greatly appreciated.

From my information: Deborah was the 3rd child/1st daughter in the family. She was born in 1734 and married Michael Lowery. "Their daughter married a Captain Wilson who commanded a packet between New York and Liverpool." (Ustick Family Register, Second Part 1894) There are no further entrie or records for her family line in my reference. My line in the family comes through Deborah's older brother Stephen;, the eldest son.

As is true of all US Usticks, our common ancester was Thamas. I have a family history my great grandfather (William Woodbridge Ustick of Ohio) did in the late 1800's. I also have copies of family documents (wills primarily) I copied at the Truro, Cornwal Shire (county) office date pre-1700. I would love to share what I can and learn from others.

I have some background on the ustick name.this came from my grandmother whose name was cecelia bernadette ustick.Her very great grandfather came from Cornwall England in 1720, and married Barbara Van Dyke who came from holland. He died in 1735 and is buried in Trinty churchyard. My great great grandfather was Thomas Ustick, who was a sailor on the Tecumseh during the civil war,and was killed when the ship hit a mine. It went down with all hands. this was the battle of Mobile Bay, the last significant navel action of the civil war.My brother has a copy of the letter sent to his widow,and I think also the copy of the monthly pension she was to receive.My grandmother's father was the baby he never saw.If this sounds familar to any other Ustick,please let me know.I don't know of any family members[ustick].
