Hello,

I discovered not too long ago that my real paternal grandfather is named Frank Vale. All I really know about him was that he hailed from Canada and was a scientist of some sort who was doing research in Hawaii and Samoa. He met my grandmother around 1949-1950. She was 18 and he was 50 (so he must have been born around 1900). My grandmother gave birth to my mother (Frank's daughter) in 1951. He was not around for the birth and left the South Pacific soon after he found out she was with child. Neither of them heard from him again.

I am reaching out to anyone who has any information. I would love to know about this mystery side of my family.
