I am not sure how my name was changed to Clifford Vales ( he is my brother and does not post) Anyways, I have not been on for a while and thought I would say hello. Carolyn, if you are still around I would like to contact you again. I have a lot more current information on the Benjamin Franklin Vales family that went to California. We just had a family reunion and I was able to give everyone some of the information you passed on to me several years ago along with my own and a couple of other helpful Vales(and related) people. I am also curious about the Indiana connection, because of BF listing in the 1900 census that his father was from Indiana. It is possible that he just believed that to be true because his father lived in Indiana at one time.
