I feel that an Illinois family that is named on the 1880 census as "Salliex" should actually read as Vallier or, possibly, Sallier. I am seeking information regarding any members of this family, these being Claude,who was born in France in 1817; Ellen, who was born in Missouri in 1825; Luesa, who was born 1865; and Lewis who was born in 1872.
