I am looking for information about Sarah E. Van Antwerp (possibly spelled Van Antwarp) who married Benjamin F. Green. I hope to learn who her parents were, and where in New York she was from.
On the 1850 census they lived in South River Township, Marion County, Missouri. In 1850, Sarah E. Green was 30 years old, her husband was 35, and both indicated that they had been born in New York. Her parents had been born in NY, and Benjamin's father in CT and mother in NY.
In 1850, they had 3 children: Amanda Green, age 7, Ann E. Green, age 5, and Benjamin H. Green, age 1. Census information in 1850 shows that all these children had been born in Missouri.
On the 1880 census, they lived in Polk Township, Atchison County, Missouri. Sarah, age 60, and Benjamin, age 65, had these children living at home: D.J. Green, age 25; George W. Green and S.H., twins, age 23; and Delia Green, age 18.
I know that S.H. was a son named Sterling Hyde Green, and that he was born in Monroe County, Missouri (one county away from Marion County) in 1857. He married Jennie McCoid in Harrison County, Iowa.
Will appreciate any information about Sarah Van Antwerp and Benjamin F. Green in New York.
