My Geary was born 1907 and died unknown possibly in Texas or California. He was a Merchant Marine. Unfortunately there are several Geary VanA's, apparently one of the g/great grandmother's was a Ms Geary, but I need to do more research. I also am in contact with some of the blood descendants of the VanA's I am tracking.

If you are kin to the NJ VanArtsdalens you are possibly in the same family. I do know Geary and wife [my g/mother]were in Bayonne, NJ where they had their pictures made, possibly visiting family.

So far I have made it back to Harrison K. VanA abt 1853 and wife Jennie McLean they were married in Nebraska and their children were born in PA, NE and ID. So far I have more on their daughter Bertha VanA Elbens, than on Geary. I also know that Harrison VanA went into Canada to try farming and later came back, his wife Jennie stayed in the US.
