George Emerson VanANTWERP was born in Shawnee, OK on June 16, 1906 and was 94 years young when he died in his Edmond, OK home on December 13, 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chalmer Wesley and Susannah Maud PIERCE VanANTWERP; his wife, Bernetta, who died November 7, 1998; and with whom he had celebrated 70 years of marriage on January 23, 1998; one sister, Thelma Smith; five brothers, Bill, Charles, Edward, Jack and Robert. He is survived by a son, Richard E. VanANTWERP and wife Jan, Yukon, OK; a daughter Betty C. ESTES and husband Charles, Edmond, OK; a son, C. West VanANTWERP and wife Jane, Plano, TX; a daughter Patricia A. EMPIE and husband, Robert Y, Okla. City, OK; eight grandchildren, Robin GLENN and husband Greg, Edmond, OK; Kim BAKER and husband, Glen, Yukon, OK; Jana VanANTWERP, Dallas, TX; Lynda VanANTWERP, Carrollton, TX; Eric VanANTWERP, Edmond, OK; Vicky ROSAMOND and husband Brian, Grapevine, TX; Steve VanANTWERP, Plano, TX; three great granddaughters; Patricia and Alyssa BAKER, and Rebecca ROSMAMOND; two brothers, Warren VanANTWERP, Shawnee, OK and Joe VanANTWERP, Paradise, CA; and two sisters, Mary SANGSTER, Earlsboro, OK and Genevieve TAYLOR, Riverside, CA. Services and interment will be Monday, December 18, at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 8701 N. W. Expressway, OKC.
