Looking for living relatives of Florence VanArnum Evans, married Alphonzo Evans of Angola, New York. Had lots of children - one a Grace Evans who married Robert Burns. Florence sent my grandmother a letter in 1924 which I have scanned. Florence was sister to Sumner and Alice. Alice married Solon Barnes West in Dunkirk, NY, and died in 1881 by being hit by a train. Patricia A. Van Arnam, 79,
of New Smyrna Beach Fla., passed away Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 28, 1929, in Erie, Pa., to John and Eleanor Detzel Dunne. Patricia moved to the area in 1969, coming from Chautauqua, N.Y. She was a graduate of Andrews School, Willoughby, Ohio. Mrs. Van Arnam was a Judicial Assistant and executive secretary for Judge William Wadsworth, Judge James Nelson, Judge Melvin Orfinger, State Attorney John Tanner and State Attorney Steve Alexander, retiring in 1997. Patricia served as director of Vann Data Services for over 25 years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, fishing and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 59 years, George M. Van Arnam. Survivors include her sons Mark VanArnam and his wife Lisa of Boone, N.C., Jon Van Arnam of West Palm Beach, Fla., Scott Van Arnam of Smyrna Beach, Fla., a daughter Janice L. Huffstickler and her husband Todd of South Daytona, Fla.,
her four grandchildren John and Emily Huffstickler, Emerald Scout Van Arnam and Mark Van Arnam Jr.
