Is anyone who visits this message board related to Ole Jensen Vang? He probably lived in the Madum parish of Ringkøbing county in Denmark, and was likely born a short time before 1872. My great grandfather, Jens Nielsen (James Ball in America) of Ballehus, Madum parish, Ringkøbing county, Denmark, refered to Ole in a letter written by Jens back to his parents in Denmark in 1886 (see below):

"I received a letter from Ole Jensen Vang on Jan 2nd (1886). I was very surprised as I could not understand who the letter was from until I saw his name on the letter. I was quite surprised to hear from him. It is hard to believe that it has been 13 years since I last saw him, so he is not a young boy any more."

Jens had emigrated to America in Dec 1872. I'd be thrilled to hear from anyone who may be related to the Ole refered to above.
