Jeff,<br>I am interested in information regarding my mother's side of the family. Her grandfather was Peter Vander Heyden. Would you have any information on where they lived in Oconto? Also do you know if Catherine's (it's spelled Katherine) on her gravestone family immigrated to Oconto also? I know she had 4 sisters. Thanks.

My g-grandfather Peter Vander Heyden immigrated from Brabant, Holland to Oconto, WI. His wife was named Catherine and she had 4 sisters. They had a son who became a priest and his name was Rev. Frank Vander Heyden. I was wondering if there is a connection between these people and the ones you are looking for more information on?

My 3rd great grandfather was Jacobus VanHecke born in 1768 in Belgium but I do not know the town. He died in Kaprijke in 1854. He married Johanna Maria DeRycke and had at least two children Paulina (b.1816) and Jacobus Bernardus (b. Sept. 2, 1818). Jacobus Bernardus married Francesca DeRoo (b. 1828 Watervleit) in Lembeke in 1860. These towns are all very close. Aalter is in Oost-Vlanderen, as is Kaprijke and it would be possible that we may have a common relative. Jacobus' father was Josephus VanHecke. I have visited twice and hope to return soon. I am going to try to revisit the records department for the area and will see if I can connect Petrus. I am always interested in any information from VanHecke's anywhere.
