Vannimans of Greene County Ohio

Hello,

I am descended from Ray Vaniman, the only son of Calvin Vanniman. Calvin was the son of Benjamin Vanniman and Sophia Hussey. My great-grandfather, Ray was a minor when his father died, and his parents were divorced, so he never received anything of his father's. Apparently, his belongings were divided among among his brothers and sisters and their children. Our family has absolutely no keepsakes from the Vanniman family. I'm hoping that whatever families recieved Calvin's personal belongings never lost them. If any Vanniman descendants have any items of Calvin's or his parents, I would be very, very happy to purchase items or reimburse for photo copies.

My grandmother was Ray's only child and he died in his early 20's, so we don't even have pictures of him. We are desperate to know what these people looked like, etc. Since Calvin was well off, he must have had photos of some type.

OUTSTANDING! I have photos of all the Miller's and would love to have a copy this photo. Please contact me for photo sharing at Reverie@nwlink.com

The names listed on your photo are indeed correct associations for this family. I have photos of a very young Royal Vaniman, his mother, aunts & uncles on the Miller side.

Do you have more dates & photos of Royal Vaniman, Paul Miller, and Lucille Miller Ferris ???? I can provide much info on the Miller side.

This is VERY exciting !
Jill Miller

Hello,
This is amazing. I am searching the internet to prepare a lesson plan for my history class. I am using old photos from my husband's family. Writing on the back of one picture containing his grandmother are names of others in the photo. The tallest and I assume oldest in the photo says "cousins Royal Vaniman deceased 1915." He is the cousin of Paul Miller deceased 1947, Lucille Miller Ferris who died in the 70s, and Jack Miller. Does that help?
