"My" informants gave the parents as James Van Patten and Adeline Relyea (they were both cousins and descendents of the couple). James was the son of Nicholas A. VanPatten and Ellenor Relyea of the Township of Ira and was the blacksmith whose death was captured in the Cato Town records prior to 1850. This was supported by the parents probate and censuses. The written sketch calls Maryetta "Esther" and has her married to Albert Heron but the informant seams have to been working from memory. For Bertha she wrote Clark Tindell "I think". I have come across precious little on the Huron family.
As to James Wesley VanPatten and Mary McGillvie and second wife Eliza J. Their Henrietta "Etta" married Thomas B. Howell of Red Creek and I have been able to document that family backward and forward.
