I am trying to idenitify the father of Jean or Jane Taffe Grimes who married Aaron Vanscoy Jr. in Randolph County, WV. Their marriage record lists Jane's mother's name as Nancy Grimes, [wife of Mark Grimes, daughter of Robert Cunningham and Prudence Parsons.}, but does not list any father's name. I have seen several researchers list her father as James Taffe, and would like to know if anyone may know him to be her father.
All I have is that in Robert Cunningham's will, he names Jane/Jean as daughter of his daughter Nancy, and that she was born before Nancy was married.
