I have a story about the VanVranken's in Oklahoma.

My Grandfather is Jess Van(Vranken) his father is Charles Elmer. In the early 1930's Charles was contacted be the Dutch government and asked to pay the back taxes on VanVranken lands in Holland. He promptly dropped the Vranken and he, his children, his grandchildren and most of the great-grandchildren maintained this.
My grandfather, Jess was born in Kansas and moved to Cleora at an early age. Great-grandad spent time moving around in the Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma 3 corner area settling for a time on Commerce.
In the 1940's He and most of the children settled in Washington State where in the late 1960's he passed away and was layed to rest in Vancouver. Followed by his wife, two of his sons who lived in Tennessee and Indianna a daughter and just last year my Grandfather. There are still three of his children living, two who live in Vancouver, Washington and one in Kelso Washington.
I don't know which line of the family you are looking for but I am a decendent of Gerritt VanVranken.
I hope this helped.
