Unknown is Leonard J. Varney who was born appx 1889 and married a Emma Hughes, born in Virginia to Charles M. Hughes and Sennah Harold. 1930 Census shows daughter Ethel b 1916, George Thomas b. 1922, Emma Joice b. 1926, and Jimmie, b. 1927. Who was this Leonard's father? Any ideas anyone. I have a positive link as Emma Varney's death certificate lists husband as L.J. Varney and the approximate dates of birth match up well.
