I am researching my husband's family from Celenza Valfortore, Foggia, Italy. The 1st Domenico Vassallo was born about 1795 and married Eleanora di Vito in 1815. The line next goes to Francesco Saverio Vassallo who married Mariantonio Marzano in 1852. One of his sons was Domenico Antonio Vassallo who married Maria Dolorata Grosso by 1884. He came to the United States in 1892 and was subsequently followed by his wife and 5 children in 1893. They eventually settled in Waterbury, CT and had 6 more children.
