I am looking for information on the descendants of Alfred Jefferson Vaughn born in 1830 in Virginia and fought in the civil war. He had a grand daughter named Virginia but I haven’t found a birth date for Virginia. I think it would be around 1900 but I am not sure. I am asking because my g-g-grand mother’s name was Virginia Vaughn and she was born around 1895. She married a Robert M Hatcher. I am told my family is descendant from a confederate general on my mom’s side and am trying to figure out if Alfred Jefferson Vaughn is the one. Any help is appreciated.
