Classification: Query
Surnames: Simons Vazie
William Vazie, saddler, had two sons christened in Hexham in 1721 and 1728. His son Robert survived and is described as Mr Robert Vazie, gent., in the register when his children were christened. Hannah was my ggg grandmother, christened in 1765. Her youngest sibling was Ann christened in 1771; others were William 1756, Robert 1758, Phoebe 1759, Aurelius 1762, Mary 1764, George 1767, Francis 1768. Both before and after these dates there are no Vazies in Hexham. Hannah was in Co Durham by 1792 when she married Joseph Simons. Has anyone any clues as to the origin of the family or their fate?
