Hello cousin, I know Harold Veasey as he is a 1st cousin to my dad, has been a few years since I've seen him though, how is he doing? Last time he came over to see us he was on a motorcycle, heard he was flooded out when Katrina made land fall. I see Johnny from time to time. Have worked on the Veasey family tree for many, many years now, where do you want to start? By the way, I am the oldest son of Bruce "Pete" Veasey. My Grandaddy was Bruce Veasey and he was a brother to your JT Veasey. Send me a message back when you read this and I'll help you anyway I can.

I dont know when the Bessie Hurdle Veasey you mentioned lived but my grandmmother had a sister Bessie. My grandmothers mother was Amanda Hurdle. but to the best that I can tell Bessies mother was Sarah Veasey my great grandfathers second wife. Bessie did marry a Wilson.

I have just started looking at the Veasey side of my family.

My father's name is Larry T. Veasey- and his father's name was Cliffton T. Veasey. I think that my grandfather's name was Abner T. Veasey. Cliffton T. Veasey lived in Georgia. I wonder if I am related to you? I tried a surname search on Veasey and it said that the Veasey name originated in Northampton. Do you have any information about that?

I know one Albert Veasey (b.16 Dec. 1880 - d. 7 March 1934) was born in Countesthorpe near Leicster, UK. I live in Hull in the UK. I believe they were brothers. I have them as brothers to Johnathan Veasey and Mary Martin. I do not have my sources for that info. I would love some solid info on this line.

Our Vesey/Veasey/Vezey family also hails from NH, Westmoreland. There was a Clarissa in our family, born 5 Apr. 1819. There also was a Sally, and a Darius Daniel.
One thing I have been finding, is the name repetition. Darius Daniel had son Charles Darius (Charles more than likely named after Darius' brother Charles). This is repeated over and over. There is a link somewhere, just don't know where.

There were 11 children I think born into the Westmoreland NH Vesey's. On census' reports, name spelled VESEY. One set of descendants have ended up with VEASEY spelling while 2 other descendant groups of the same family have ended up with VEZEY...Time will tell.

My great,great,great grandparents were Jesse H. Veasey and Elizabeth Skipper Veasey. They had a son named Barney who was thought to have been killed in the Civil War. Hope this may help you out. Jesse and Elizabeth had two other sons that fought for the Confederacy that survived. Jesse even served himself at the age of 46.

My Veasey family came into Alabama from Georgia in the early 1800's. Earlier history of them shows that they came to America in the mid to late 1600's from England and settled in the state of Maryland. I do not have a clue about any relationship to your line of Veasey's but in all likelihood there probably is a connection.

Searching for descendents of Jesse H. Veazey and wife Elizabeth Skipper that may have a picture of them before they passed. Jesse died 12-8-1900, Elizabeth died 10-4-1896. Also looking for photos of their children, Samuel David Veazey died 10-24-1926. Franklin "Marion" Veasey died ?, John N. Veazey died ?, Jasper Veazey died ?, and James Thomas Veazey, also would like any pictures of the daughters Elizabeth, Mary Frances, and Rebecca Louise. These family members were all photograghed in the late 1800's and early 1900's and I will gladly reimburse any relative that can make me copies. The oldest picture that I currently have is a copy of Jesse and Elizabeth's son Andrew "Jack"son Veasey and his new bride Callie that was taken on their wedding day in 1882. I know these pictures exist, if you have any please contact me. I also need help in identifying a picture of one of the Veasey familys that was taken probably before 1900, someone out there may also have a photo of them that can confirm their indenties.

Seeking information on William B. Veasey (any spelling, have found ALL spellings in our family) b. in NH Aug. 11, 1828. The middle initial B. may be Bradley. There were 3 known children born to him, however they are unknown, and his spouses name unknown, and where he went after 1858 and where he passed on is unknown.

A Mary Veasey married Josiah Thayer in 1743 in Braintree, MA., but which one? There were 2 Marys born in Braintree that would fit: one born Aug. 29, 1720, and the other born Aug. 21, 1711. The second would make more sense, since Josiah was born in 1713, but I have seen a lot of information listing the first one as his wife. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks!

Hello, I am curious as to where your Veaseys came from. Do you have any information on this? I have: My g.g.grndmother: Penelope (Nabithae) and several other first names Veasey. I have read about her marriage to my g.g.grndfather: Peter Hardiman/Hargadon, in 1827, Athlone, Ireland. But, see from records on the internet that many were born in Caundle Bishop, Dorset, England..can't explain this?? Her mother was CATHERINE MULRENIN & FATHER: MICHAEL VEASEY...BORN LATE 1700. This Albert Veazey is not the son of John H Veazey #158 of Jane Veazey Davis' book. John H's son Albert was married twice, but never to Ada Sanford. He married Gresham sisters. Also, he was in Washington Co. TX long before your Albert's marriage date in GA. Sorry, but John H is the wrong direction.
