Frank Graham was my uncle. He is buried in fort Wroth, Texas along with my Dad, Paul Graham, and also theri Father, Will Lee Graham. I am happy to exchange more information with you.

I hope this helps out, first look up the 7 different plantations and see if any of those would have any employee info on your great grandpa. esp. if was born in hawaii in 1909. if u know the area then try that plantation. I found my family using that tool. also look to see if u have his SS#, and also you can look thru different census in hawaii to see if he is listed for example 1920, 1930,. my family members also immigrated from PR. great grandparents Manuel and Antonia Vegas. For me they are listed on the 1910 hawaii census and it records them having immigrated in 1901. Immigration records help as well. if u know who did the immigrating or any idea look under PR immigration to Hawaii search and see what names come up. are you a regular member here on this site? if you have the upgraded account you can access these records. take care. I'm looking for family of my great great grandfather, Joseph Vegas born January 1, 1909 in Hawaii and died on May 5, 1990 in Contra Costa County, California. His sons were Richard and Joseph. His daughter Eva Vegas is my grandmother from his first wife Mary Valentine.

I know his mother was Eufania or something like that. And he had siblings-- Domingo who was born in Puerto Rico. Also, Dora, John, Hattie an Abral who were born in Hawaii.

I'm looking for any relatives in Hawaii, California or Puerto Rico. I would also like to know the name of his father and why happened to him. And where is his family line from in Puerto Rico.

My grandmothers sister was also named Antonette Rodero also Vegas who had a brother Martin, but not sure of a Tony, had a Martin I think that moved to the mainland as well. You need to search for your family in the "Registro Civil," now called "Registro Demografico" for Orocovis. They should have records from 1885 to the present. You also may be able to get information from the local catholic church in Orocovis.

The Mormons, also known as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, have microfilmed many of the church and civil records for Puerto Rico, among other places, and they make these records available to anyone thru over 3,000 of their Family History Centers which can be found around the world.

I have been researching my family history for some time now. I am now at a point where I think I’ve effectively hit a dead end. I’m posting the following information to hopefully trigger the memory of someone out there. If any of the names below sound familiar, I would love to hear from you. ronaldovega@comcast.net

Catalino Vegas married Ramona Jiménez and lived in the Saltos barrio of Orocovis (then Barros). They had 8 children:
- Dolores Vegas y Jiménez
- Jose Vegas y Jiménez
- Maria Vegas y Jiménez
- Ramon Jose Vegas y Jiménez married Eustaquia Colón y Vazquez
- Ramon “Monche” Juan Vegas y Jiménez married Margarita “Margo” Velez
- Magdalena Vegas y Jiménez
- Aurleriano Vegas y Jiménez
- Aulilia “Lala” Vegas y Jiménez

Some time between 1910 and 1920, the family moved from Orocovis to Jajome Alto barrio of Cayey. My grandfather, “Moche” mentioned that his father may have been from Spain. Very little information survived over the years about him. I would like to know more.

Pat, thanks for the quick response. All I know is that my grandfather Bieneunido(Benny) Vegas married my grandmother Lucia(Lucy) and had two children Benny Jr. and Anna(Ann, Ana?) Vegas. My dad Anthony(Tony) was from a previous marriage of Lucia's. But Benny Sr. adopted my dad and gave him the Vegas name. My mom and dad met in the early to mid 50's in brooklyn. i think benny and lucy met in P.R. don't know what town exactly though. there isn't much family info that i know. i also know that Lucia's mom (no name available, past in the early 70's in brooklyn). For the most part they all lived in brooklyn but i do remember visiting my uncle benny somewhere out in Long Island, mid 60's. let me know if there's anything else. thanks.

mean to pry, but; if you can give me some approximations
on dates i'll go into the states files and see if i can come
close. Once again, my great grandmother on my mother's
side was a Vegas. Juanita Sanchez Vegas to be exact. And
believe it or don't, but i've only learned this since starting our
family history. So who knows, and for sure it won't cost you

Thanks for the response, but I don't know of any living relatives on my dad's side, (Anthony Vegas, son of Lucy and Benny) haven't seen my dad in a very long time, and just trying to locate anyone that might have some info. Found out through the Social Security site that both grandparents are deceased. They lived in Brooklyn, NY for a very long time. I have sisters on my father's side, Wanda, Sandra, Cynthia(Synthia) and Jennifer Rose. Don't know their whereabouts either. Thanks.

I have an uncle who seems to fit your description. His birth given name was William Vegas. He later changed it to Richard Pelican. Last time I saw him was at my mother's funeral in 1989....Oxnard, Ca He is of Native American descent..says he's Apache but is actually Chumash and Cahuilla.

Frank D Graham, formerly of Shawnee, OK. died Thursday, Feb 25. 1993.
A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was a 25 year resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. Born Oct. 08, 1933, in Oklahoma and was a practicing physician in the Las Vegas area since 1963.
I would like to know any of the details of the accident, obit and the cemetery info.
I hope you can help me. I am not sure exactly where the accident occurred in Las Vegas, or just where.

As I remember, She had a brother named Martin, a brother named Tony, They both moved to the Mainland. She also had siblings that whos name I can't remember. What I do remember is that there was a brother living in Hawi, Kohala on the Big Island where we are from, a brother that had moved to Makawao, Maui.
