I have Marion Litz (from New York) who married Anthony Vellardi (unknown middle name) in my family tree- Marion would be my 2nd cousin 2xs removed. Is Ralph's mother's maiden name Litz? I have yet to unearth any kids from this marriage. I can provide you with Marion's lineage if you wish~

Velardi Family information

So I continue to look for information to give my children some idea of their heritage. My childrens great grandfather/mother were each from very large families. I think he came from 12 siblings and she from 11! Nunzio N Velardi 1905-1984 and Violet 1907-1984, they had 6 kids. My children's grandfather Gerald P died in a construction accident in 1958 (nee 1937) and their great aunt Maryann died from some type of cancer in 1972(nee 1937). I know there were several others in the Tom's River area Gilbert (aka John), Donny, Paul, and Steven. Several were married and divorced I believe all had kids who would now be in their late 30's 40's. Paul I think was a lawyer, and the rest were in construction. My exhusband's mother's name is Dawn (Velardi) Johnasen.
I was hoping someone would have information, but I guess people only look when they aren't connected. Thanks for any responses. My ex had very little to do with his father's family while growing up and now my children have no contact with him. It's a shame, knowing where you came from helps support who you are.

My great grandfather was Natale Velardi. His son was Biagio Velardi and he was my grandfather. He came to New York from Palermo, Sicily on the S.S. Anna on November 21, 1921 to be with his father Natale. Somewhere along the line he moved to the Massachusetts area. He and his wife Mary Generazio, also from Massachusetts settled in New Jersey and had six children, four boys and two girls. The last suriving male child passed away last month in upstate New York at the age of 83. He was my uncle, and his name also was Natale Velardi.
I have Velardi relatives residing in Sicily, Italy and on my grandmothers side in Naples, Italy. This is besides the Velardi's in Brick, Neptune, Kearny, New Jersey area.
Hi Cheryl. Our "Velardi's" come from Goia, Italy origanially. Francesco moved to USA (after his 1st wife died). His 2nd wife was "sent for" from Italy to marry him. This group of Velardi's settled mostly in Connecticut - but have 2nd & 3rd & 4th generations in the following states:
CT, Mass, Fla, NY, NJ..... Give me some names of velardis in Mass and maybe I ca make some connections for you.
-Kelly

Hi, How are you;
Don't know if we may be related but my mother's brother Louis Velardi, who is now deceased, resided in the Ocean Grove, Belmar New Jersey shore area. He had six children; Louis, Rick, Mike, William, Tracey and Thomas; wife's name is Margaret. My brother George lives in that area also. Louis was originally born in the Lynn, Massachusetts area. The whole family of six children, including his mother Mary and father Biago Velardi moved to Harrison, New Jersey. And their the history of the family began in New Jersey. I personally do not know much about any other Velardi family in the Jersey shore area other than a couple of uncle's and an aunt residing in Northen New Jersey.
I would like to know more about Biago Velardi and his family; hence our coorespondence. Would like to hear more of your family's history too. Talk to you soon.

Their great grandparents were Violet and Nunzio Velardi of Tom's River. Their grandfather was Jerry Velardi, also of Toms River NJ. I would like them to know their history, where the Velardi's came from, who, and what they were, and are. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. Thanks

Velardi Family - US

I don't know if this helps or not but my father's family is from Messina, Sicily. My great grandfather's name was Letterio Velardi and he married a woman by the name of Concetta Cardullo. They were the first generation in our family that I know of to come to America and lived in Rhode Island and New York. I was surprised to see your spelling of Velardi because I've seen only one other instance where it was spelled the same. It was a business near Rome, New York called Velardi Sons Construction.

Like to contact Velardi family

I am helping a man in Sicily try to find his long
long-lost US Velardi relatives.

He is a Sabatino. His grandfather was Domenico Velardi,
the grandfather's siblings were Maria Pietra Velardi and
Pietro Velardi. They lived in the US. Baiamonte may be
another US name in this family. If this is your family,
please contact me at jtrev@usa.net
