My maiden name was Venus and I was born in Devon. My Grandfather was born in 1880 and died in 1978. His name was Frederick Charles Venus and was one of eleven childen. My great grandfather also lived in Devon but I think he originally came from elsewhere in the UK. My grandfather went to Canada with some of his brothers as a young man (Salmon fishing) and at least two of his brothers settled in Canada, I think they were called Wilf and Alf. Two more of the brothers settled in Hull, they were called Wallace and Bern. Anyone know any of these names.
