I am looking for information on the verna family. My grandmother was Rose Verna, who was born in Italy, but came to South Philly via Ellis Island with her mother and Father (Archangelo and Domenica Caniglia). Rose Verna married a Nardontonia who was killed in South Philly, in a case of mistaken identity(??). She later remarried to Frank Peluso. My grandmother also has a sister who was born in South Philadelphia after they moved here. Her name was Tootsalina Verna, who nuns in S. Philly renamed Rosalie. Tootsie Verna married Albert Rongione.
