The family I am looking for immigrated to San Francisco before 1860 and appear in the 1860 Census. They are:

Antonio Vescovo (b.1826 in Austria) He May have used the name Peter Wilson in the United States. He says in Censuses that his father was Austrian and his mother Italian. He is my Great great grandfather.

Margarite(Margaret) Vescovo (nee Lastreto b.1845 in Montevideo) She is the wife of Antonio Vescovo and my Great great grandmother. She appears in various censuses as being born in Spain, South America and the Argentine Republic. She says her parents were born in Italy. She lived in San Francisco and had many children a few of which are Regina, Nazario(Alexander), Rose, Angelina, Ellen(Maria Magdelena), Frank and John.

Alice (Elena) Maggio (nee Galliano b. 1853 in Australia) She is the sister of Margarite Vescovo. She married Fortunato Maggio and lived in Oakland and San Francisco and they had many children a few of which are Vincent, Amelia, Eugene, Arthur, Elena, Paul and Emanuel.

Angelica Lastro (b. 1830 in Italy) I don't know who Angelica Lastro is but I found Angelina Lastreto in Marin County in the 1900 census.

I'm trying to find where these people came from. Does any of this sound familiar to anybody? Does anybody have any suggestions of where to look next?

Thanks
Peggy
