Hi, When was Clifford VITAL / VITEL/VETEL born in Vermont?
to Frank J. VITAL,VITEL /VETEL,and Mary GREEN

What is the source of information re the spelling of the Surname?
Registration of Marriage, Registration of childs Birth, Registrations of Death - should show the correct spelling [hopefully]

Frank VITEL/VETEL may have made application for Letter of Intent - Citizenship
This may show more personal information as required at the time - date and Place of Birth -Names of Parents etc

I have a Maria Vitel that married a Nicola Amendola.They were from Amalfi.Is this 0f any help?

After some research I was able to find Clifford's dob,dod,burail and a second marriage. I have been able to contat his second wifes family and was able to get a couple of photos.
Still searching for more information.
any one with the Vetal name (other spellings are Vital,Vitel,Vidal,Vatel) would be willing to share info.

ISO Frank J Vetal born about 1839 in Canada(not sure where) came to the US and married Mary Green in Vt 1860. they had 1 child I know of Clifford also born in VT.

Thanks for the response. It may be Clifford, I do not have alot of info on him other that his dob 03/25/1885 in Vermont and his last know address in Springfield was in 1951 he lived on 26 Bradford.

I'm wondering if your Clifford Vetal remarried later. My great-grandmother, Alice Auclair, married a Clifford Vetal in Springfield in the 1950's, second marriage for both. I have a wedding picture.

I am looking for an info on the Vetals, I was told they were from Canada( not sure where) and they came to the us thru NY and settled in Mass, and Vt
First name I can start with is
Clifford Vetal born in Manchester VT
his father was Frank( coul dbe Francis,Franklin,or Francois)

The 1881 transcription cited may be a Lessard. The surname Vital is found at Montreal and Jolliette, QC, 1901. Pierre Vital, born USA Sept. 8, 1839, migrated to Canda from US 1843, wife Elisabeth Brennan, dau. Eugenie, nee QC June 5, 1867. Reference: Canada census 1901, Montreal City, QC, Maisonneuve District, St-Jean-Bte. Ward, F-23, page 6, microfilm reel T-6529.

There is only one Vetal family in Canada in 1881 - so you might check them out.

Unless any of these turn upon the census you already have then I suppose you have to get Clifford's birth record to see if this is his family.

On his WWI Draft Registration Card, dated Sept. 12, 1918, he gives his address as RFD1, Andover, Merrimack, New Hampshire; date of birth as March 25, 1885; teamster; missing three fingers on his left hand; registered at Merrimack, New Hampshire.

From your other postings, I note that you think that Clifford's father was named Frank. A possibility in the 1930 New Hampshire Census:
