Apparently there were two different people with the name of Edward Vezeau. My GreatGrandfater, Edward Vezeau, had two sons, one of which was my Grandfather, Kenneth Vezeau.

My GreatGrandmother was Suzette Perry. She died in Hammond, Indiana. My Great Grandfather then moved to St. Louis where he later died. I'm sure he had family down there, but I have yet to connect it.

Nettie Pfountz

I am Nettie's granddaughter, Georgia Gupton's daughter. Viola was my great aunt. Her husband's name was Maurice. We called him Speed. She died of leukemia on my birthday or the day before and was burried on hers. Speed also eventually died of cancer. Nettie was married to Alfred Lacey Shannon, my grandfather. They had 7 children. Bob, Al, Gloria, Georgia, Dick, Pat, and Ed. Bob's wife is named Chole. Al's wife's name is Gerry. Georgia was widowed and divorced. Dick's wife is Rita. Gloria's husband was Lyle. Pat's husband is Walter. Ed's wife is Penny. Pearl Pfountz was my great grandmother and Nettie's mother. I'm trying to make a family tree for my children so they know where they come from. I did look at your site and found it interesting, however the information you have about Georgia is incorrect. I was hoping to get a chance to meet you at Uncle John's funeral, but didn't. I apologize. If I can help you with anything, let me know.

I have a proof that there is Census of 1930 mentioned Edward Vezeau has wife named Catherine and children: Oliver and Florence. They were related to my husband, Mark Compton's family. Edward Vezeau was Mark's great grandfather. He was born 1880 in Cahokia, Illinois. He died on 1955 in East St. Louis, Illinois.
Please check on Census
Thanks, KImberly Compton

Are you sure your great grandmother was Viola Pfountz. Viola died young of a sledding accident. Nettie Pfountz married Lacey SHANNON and raised a large family. Nettie was my father's sister. She was killed in an auto accident when I was in grade school coming back from visiting Rose and Jesse neighbors in Fredericktown MO. Based on the name used to post the message, I would think you are in that line.

Carl

This Viola, however, is not the daughter of Rudolph Pfountz and Rosalie Vezeau. She is the daughter of Charles Pfountz (son of Rudolph) and Jennie Neighbors. Maybe this is your line?

Chris I don't believe Kim Mark Compton's Edward Vezeau is YOUR Edward. I went to library in Belleville, IL on research and found East St. Louis Journal Obituary list for Vezeau. I copied my info but only wrote down their other names for future reference. They have an Edward Vezeau, died age 53 yrs., obits in p.3 col.2 01OCT1940 in p.3 col.7 01OCT1940. That would make him born @ 1887. I also have notes for a Kenneth Vezeau from SSDI. Born 05DEC1911 DIED 02SEP1992. Social security issued in IN, last zip 46323. Also included in his notes are parents Edward Vezeau and Suzanne Elizabeth Perry, supposedly related to Admiral Perry. Can't remember who sent me that tidbit of info....sorry. I have a hunch that this Kenneth and this Edward are father son and they belong to you. Let me know what you find out. I like to keep notes on other Vezeau lines so I don't get them confused with mine...(lol)
