I would like to find relatives of my grandfather, James Calvin Victory, born
11 Aug. 1868 in Tenn. His parents were
John Victory and Parthenia Gibson Victory.
He had one brother that we know of. His
name was William or Will. These two boys
were orphaned when they were quite young and were raised by a family named
Spellings who I believe was a doctor. My
grandfather said he was part Cherokee Indian and he certainly looked the part. I
don't know if he got it from his mother or his
father. These 2 brothers left Tennessee
about 1900 and went to Oklahoma and
homesteaded land in the western part of
the Territory. Does this fit in with anyone's
family of Victorys. As you can see by the
sparce message board, there aren't very
many Victorys around. Surely we can
connect some of them. If you have any
info contact me direct at awest@c-zone.net
