Thompson Vines' daughter?

Did Thompson Vines have any daughters? She would have married a Wollard/Woolard/Woollard, as I have a Thompson Vines Wollard born abt 1795 in NC, likely Beaufort Co.

Does anyone know of marriage records for the 1780's and 1790's for NC and/or Beaufort County that I could check?

Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am trying to trace the birth record of my great grandfather William Elliot Seaborn VINES, and any records of his parents - Elizabeth and father not known. He was born in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, England in about 1849. His mother was born about 1815 also in Wotton-under-Edge. Can anyone help?

We have an antique photo album that is dedicated as follows:
"Presented by F. Garrison
Dec 25, 1895
to
Miss Fronia Vines

Camp Crook
So. Dak."

We believe this to be Sophronia C Vines who was born Feb 1877 and was listed in the 1880 Federal census as the daughter of James and Adaline Vines, Van Buren, Crawford, Arkansas. In 1895 she was apparently living at Camp Crook SD. By 1900 "Fronia" had married Frank Gentry and was living in Montana (1900 Federal census).

The photo album includes a picture of Frank Garrison and a young lady we believe to be Sophronia (Vines) Gentry. The photo would have been taken around 1895.

The John Ashford b.1815 in GA. & Jane A.Roberson b.1815 in SC.Vines, that are in the 1850 Census for ST Francis Co.AR. are the Son & Dautherinlaw of Benjamin b.1793 in SC.& Nancy Vines that are in the 1850 Census for Upshur Co.TX...This is the John Ashford & Jane A.Roberson Vines that were in the 1840 Census for Caroll Co.GA.with the
{ Other } John Attaway. b. 1801in GA. & Jane b.1806 in GA. Vines. John Attaway and Benjamin Vines were brothers and are the Sons of Isaiah Vines.

Hello John. Hope you are still out there and still listening. To further muddy the waters, there ia another John A. and Jane Vines on the 1850 census in St. Francis County, AR. A lot of folks have confused this couple with John Ashford Vines and wife Jane Robinson who appear on the 1850 census in Carroll County, GA. There is also a lot of confusion as to the parents of this John Ashford Vines. I have been working on this problem for years, and I think I may have it cleared up in my own mind. I believe John Ashford's parents to be Isaiah Vines and Sarah Attaway. Any comments? I still don't know about the parents of John A. of Arkansas. Can anybody help with that?

Members of the family lived in Butler, Tennessee (which is in Johnson County) and in Carter County, which is a neighboring county of Johnson County.

The children (assuming Thomas and Carrie's children) are living in differing places, including Nobleville, Indiana. Two of the children have died.

Please provide any other information that you may have. Please be specific.

What I found. I do not know if these are your people.

In the Social Security Death Index I found the following.

Clayton Vines, b. Jan 10, 1910, d. Dec. 1975, was living in Butler County, TN at time of death.

Carrie Vines, b. 22 Jun 1917, d. Dec 29, 1992, was living in Hampton, Carter County, TN at time of death.

Again I don't know if these are your people, but it is a start. You can access their records at http://ssdi.rootsweb.ancestry.com/. After you find each person, if you click on the SS-5 letter, a preformed letter will appear that you can send to the Social Security Administration with twenty-seven dollars ($27.00) and they will send you a copy of their application for a Social Security Card. This should have helpful information for you, including the parents name (this is my understanding anyway).

I hope this helps. Again, if you can be specific about anymore information, it may be helpful.

This Francis Marion Vines is my mothers Great Grandfather, his daughter, Nancy Vines, married Cary Hood who had my grandmother, Dorena Hood (along with other children). My mom's grandmother (my great-grandmother), Nancy Vines (Francis' daughter) had a skin disease called "EB", are you aware of this disease or know of any other "Vines" that had it (its a herditary disease). I believe you are referring to Benjamin Daniel Vines, son of Benjamin Marion Vines and his second wife, Nancy A. Denton. Benjamin Daniel was born 24 Jun 1884 in Arlington, Tarrant County, TX and died 28 Oct 1936 in Erick, Beckham County, OK. He married Fannie Belle Elms 19 Aug 1904 in Mobeetie, Wheeler County, TX., daughter of George Elms and Lennie Meek. Fannie was born 19 Jul 1884 in McGregor, McLennan County, TX.

I have a list of their children and some of their grandchildren. If interested in more information about this family, email me and I'll send you what I have.

BTW, I am not a descendant, but my wife is a descendant of Benjamin Marion Vines and his first wife, Nancy Chandler.

They live in Bulter Tenn. They live in Carter county. The childern live everywhere. They have two lives in Nobleville,In. Two of the children has died.The parent died on Dec.26,1975 and the other died on Dec.27,1992. Do not know the grandparents name. The brother of their father name is Roy Vines. He has pass away but I do not know the date. We might not been any kin.

Alyene is my Aunt and the last I heard of Sharon Kay is that she moved. My other cousin Delbert Hinshaw used to live in Depew and he moved also. I do have his address. I also have other cousins living in Depew but they are all younger than me. They don't know any of the older family members or even heard of them. I would just like any information on the family that I can find. I do know that the bank has a picture of my Grandfather in the lobby because my other cousin Gay Keeth showed it to me years ago when I came down to pick up my daughter [she spent the summer down there]. I don't know if they are still living there but there used to be a Alene Vines and her daughter Sharon Kay Johns living in Depew. I haven't heard from either of them in years, though. If Alene is still living she would be pretty elderly. Her daughter Sharon Kay should be living, though. If you don't find her in Depew you might find her in Drumright, OK because it seems to me that someone told me that she moved to Drumright a few years ago.

Yes, he was born in 1870 (I do not know where) and died in 1943 in St. Louis, MO. Ace lived in southern Missouri a great deal of his life, from what I can assertain. I'm trying to find out more about his parents, who and where they were...

I understand that George W. Cooper (born about 1840 to Alexander Cooper and Delphia Harris) was married twice. First to Julia Ann Eaton and later to Harriet Vines (born about 1858--daughter of George Washington Vines and Mary Ann Rogers). He had 8 children that I know of. However I do not know which children belong to which mother. Does anyone have a list they could share with me so I can sort them out? Thanks!

Hello you are speaking to Josh Vines age 16, Location Palm Springs, California yes i just found out that was my great uncle Ellsworth Vines(Tennis Champ 1930+) and his brother was my Grandpa who was a famous golfer i havnt got his name unfortunatly because iv never asked because I never got to meet him, my grandpa had 7 kids total, 3 guys, 4 girls, and Michael Vines one of the 3 guys gave birth to me out of all those people im the only guy in that set carrying the family name but i guess you must be the branch that went off into the world if this is true thats great you can contact me at JoshVines101@aol.com i would like to hear your side of the story plase reply to me
