Thanks Nancy - - yes, these are the Vlachos I was researching. I found the same info at the Canonsburg Library. I believe there is still a David Vlachos living in the area; I've just not gotten back into researching that part of my family tree.

I've not found a Jimmy Vlachos, however, my in-laws are Vlachos and the grandparents were from Dearborn Heights area of Michigan. Christian F. Vlachos and wife, Virginia, had one son, Frederick George Vlachos. Christian had brothers in Michigan still in 1995 when he passed away.

I am looking for Nick Vlachos (Vlaco) who was in the Army in the early 1960's. He was stationed at Ft.Campbell, Kentucky at one time & often traveled to Greenville, Kentucky on his days off. He would be in his early 60's now. He dated my mother Geraldine Edwards in the early 1960's. Thanks, Ginger Walker

Vlachos Family

I have a Canonsburg Phone Book from the years 1947-1948 that has been passed down to me from my family. In it there is a listing for a Thomas Vlachos, ( wife, Anna) They had one child, they lived in their own home. Thomas's is listed as working at "Tom's Tavern" (Which I am assumeing that he owned) Their home address was 17 W. College Street, Canonsburg, Pa. There were also 2 other listings for Vlachos...Chris Vlachos, who rooms at 17 W. College Street, Canonsburg, Pa. and Thomas Vlachos Jr. who works as a bartender at Toms Tavern, who also rooms at 17 W. College Street, Canonsburg, Pa. I do not know if these are the Vlachos family that you are interested in, they were the only ones in the book. I hope that this may be of help to you.

My grandfather, Bernard Vlachos, came from Crete, Greece. I was recently told told the name was shortened/changed upon arriving in the US (not unlike so many others from Europe). I know he had siblings, but would have to ask my mother what their names were, if she could remember.
