My grandfather, Alfred Voigt and his family are somewhat of a mystery to me. He ran away from home at 16 from somewhere in Prussia and immigrated to the US in 1905. He later married Margaret Wechel and had two children, my father Alfred E. Voigt and my aunt Margaret. I was hoping someone may be familiar with these names seeing as no one can tell me who his parents were or about the family (my father has passed and my aunt unable to tell me). He was probably born around 1888 or 1889. He ended up working for the US military where he stayed until his retirement. I'm trying to compile a family tree for all the grandkids. I'm just hoping someone is familiar with him and can maybe help me look in the right direction.
