Hi, My GGG grandmother's (Francis Ortis) older daughter, Antoinette Ortis, married a Vosburg. My GG grandmother, Josephine Ortis, was a child living with her mother in her sister's household in the 1870 census. Looking in Point Coupee parish. Looking for Josephine Ortis' mother's and father's names.
I have the Loupe line traced to Robert Crevier in the 1500s in France. Any help would be appreciated. Karen Shipman Kueck, familytree16@yahoo.com.

Hi Gabby,
No, this isnt the same Joseph Vosburg. My great grandfather, Joseph B. Vosburg lived from 1845 - 1904. He is buried with his wife, Margaret Ann Parrish Vosburg (b.1848-d.1922) in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Mt. Zion, Luzerne County, PA. Also shown on his tombstone are children, Susie E. 1868 - 1875 and Corey G., 1866. His daughter, my grandmother, was named Dora Dean Vosburg. Dora married three times; Richard Cannon, William Byron Sutton, and Julius Kirk. Dora was named after Dora Dean who was a character in the novel my great grandparents were reading at the time of her birth. Dora was born 09/12/1870 and died in 1965. Dora Vosburg Sutton is buried in the same cemetery with her husband (W. Byron), two of her children (Edgar Byron Sutton 06/28/1901-06/27/1994 and Bessie Marie who changed her name to Margaret Reed Snyder 1899-1967), and parents. I have never heard of the other people you have mentioned. Please feel free to email me whenever you like. Fondly, CRS

I'm seeking assitance with information (parents/death records/further census records) on Lydia J. Vosburg(h). The Breese Bible of Alta Whitt lists Lydia as "Born on 22 June 1851 - Big Flats, Chemung County, NY" w/o ancestor information. There seem to be many L.Vosburgs, but mine can be seen on the 1880 Census, Mexico City, Audrain, MO as the wife of Willard William Breese. In 1889, she gave birth to their last child, Charles Luther, in Laramie, WY. Please, any information would be greatly appreciated!
