My grandfather came from Czechoslavakia and diedabout twenty years ago. His name was Jerry Fojtik, which is the spelling that came over with my grandfather. My father changed the name to Foytek. His name was Elheart Edwin Foytek. My Dad died about fifteen years ago. He told me that he was the first Foytek, as he was the first to change it. That whole family migrated to the west of the Houston, Texas area and still have family near with the Foytik spelling.
