Surnames: Vredenburg, Vrendenburgh, etc.
I am doing genealogical research on the Vredenburg family in New York State, specifically in the Hudson Valley and near West Point. I have a deed dating to 1872, stating that William Vredenburgh and his wife Susan J. bought a parcel of land in the Town of Highland (now Highland Falls) but were residing in the Town of Fishkill, Dutchess Co. If anyone has any information, it would be greatly appreciated.
