The name Wade is Welsh in its origin and means wanderer. Louis Lamour did a series of novels called the Sacketts and this history line that he followed is very similar to Wade family. Of course, the Wade's who settled in the areas around Knoxville were in the middle of Cherokee country and some of them married indians. I don't know anything about the Hayes family you mentioned. Perhaps if you know their ancestors on the Wade side I can find a connection.
