I amlooking for any information about a Charles/Karl Wagenknecht in Waukesha/Milwaukke area of Wisconsin. He was born about 1826 in Hesse-Darmstadt Germany. According to Census records. His first wife wa a Katherine Reinhard, they had 4 children. Karl, Wihelm, Welhelmine, Victor Adolf. Katherine died and he married her sister Wilhelmine Reinhard in 1865 in New BErlin Wisconsin. I have not been able to track any of these children. I have assumed they changed the name to Wagner? Any help would be great, I do have the Census info. He was in the Civil War and fought for D I Wis HA. Am hoping to find his family in Germany or over here....Thank you Sandy
