Karen: My great aunt was Rosetta Depuy. She married William Wager. She was born Feb. 6, 1875 probably in Krumville, N. Y., and died in Napanoch, NY February 1968.
William Wager, according to my mother, was a cousin of Augustus Wager, who was second husband of my grandmother, Mary Lucinda Depuy. I believe William Wager was born prob. 1865, and died prob. 1927. He was a blacksmith and had his own Blacksmith shop. William and Rosetta had two children, Jesse Wager, who died as an infant, and Vernon Wager, born August 12, 1900, died
November 1975 in Accord, NY. I know nothing more about my great aunt. According to my mother, she and her siblings were not permitted to visit, (for what reason I do not know).
Probably she doesn't know either, or cannot remember. She will be 95 years old in November. Vernon Wager resided at one time in Lyonsville, NY

Two other Great Aunts also married Wagers

Minerva Depuy, married Jeremiah (Jerry) Wager, and Nellie Catherine Depuy, married John H. Wager.

According to information in my grandmothers Bible, Nellie Catherine Depuy and John H. Wager were parents of Anson J. Wager, Chauncy D. Wager, Arthur E. Wager, and Aaron Wager. But in some other posts on this message board I see them listed as being the children of John and Sarah????

Would love to have this info clarified.
