I'm proving my descent from Isaac Waggoner for my DAR membership. The Waggoner Family has been a valuable tool, but not everything written in it is correct. The book has Isaac's son, Elisha, as having died in 1858. That is totally incorrect as he, his wife & their 4 children are living in one home in Illinois the 1860 census. I have no clue about when he really died.
This line was confusing, because there were two Elisha Waggoners living in the Shelby, Illinois area at the same time. My Elisha is well documented as having been married to Miss Elizabeth Kirk in Shelby, Illinois in 1835. She is proving difficult to find documentation for. I don't have her birth info, other than what is given on censuses, nor do I have her death info. I would really like to find out about her parents...
Good luck!

I have read twice on this board this evening that Hans Waggoner was hung in his front yard by the British. What are the source(s) for that?
