I have a portrait of a great-great uncle Lewis Halverson with a woman identified as Theodocia Walker. The portrait was taken in 1890 in Boulder, CO. Theodora Walker apparently was a serious girlfriend, but "Uncle Lew" had places to go! people to see! lands to explore! and did not marry Theodocia. I'm attaching the picture to this note, and I'd love to hear what happened to Theodocia! Lew was a cowboy in Colorado, Idaho and Montana, and he later went up to Alaska to seek his fortune at gold. Like most prospectors, though, he did not make a fortune, and ended up in Idaho living with his sister.
