For several months now a group of researchers has been working to put
together a well-documented family outline for Samuel Walker, Revolutionary
Soldier of Edgefield SC, his wife Martha-Jefferson Bell Walker, plus their
children and grandchildren. Their eight children married into the BEAMS,
HOLLOWAY, EDDINS, MITCHELL, FARROW, and MAYS families of the late 1700s and
early 1800s in Edgefield. The families moved during the early 1800s to
several Alabama counties. Many researchers have contributed data,
suggestions, clues, etc. and we are extremely grateful for all input.
We have now input the information we have collected and posted the
register-format family tree at:
http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/r/u/s/Judith-F-Ru...Please take a look and let us know what you think. We sincerely invite your
input with additions, corrections and comments. We want to fill out the
missing gaps as to children and grandchildren and correct any mistakes. We
particularly want as much documentary evidence (wills, estates, deeds, etc)
as possible.
Our primary goal is to find the correct ancestry for Samuel Walker Rev Sold
of Edgefield, born about 1745. Possibly someone in the associated families
has the clue that we need. You would have our undying gratitude if you
could provide any information to put us on the right track.
(A timeline of the life of Samuel Walker, Sr., as we know it, is also on the
www site. Lists of neighbors, etc are provided. Our best Clue: He had
close associations with Joseph Walker, Granville Co., NC, who married
Elizabeth Clarke and with Joseph's children James, Rachel, and Hezekiah.)
Thank you very much. Please let us hear from you!
