Was browsing on the internet and came across a fascinating and heart-rending image of a Wallen who served in the Civil War. It is a painting described as follows "Private Milton E. Wallen, Co. C, 1st Kentucky Cavalry, was wounded by a Minie ball while in prison at Richmond, July 4, 1863.

After seeing this, I went to the family trees and the only thing I could find on this fellow was that he may be a son of George Washington Wallen. Hope someone can use this information.
