My grandfather, Anton Wallner, had a brother Mike. Their mother`s name was Agnes. They lived in West Milwaukee Wi. I remember staying with my grandparents for the weekend and uncle Mike would come with his wife to play cards and have a little schnaaps! He was a happy funloving person.

Wallren married Robert Pollak NY 1850's

My great grandmother Wallren (first name unknown) married Robert Pollak. They had two sons, Rudolf Robert Pollak and Albin J. Pollak, and two daughters whose names I vaguely remember, however I think one of them was named Wilma and the other perhaps Semille or Camille. They were married in the mid 1800's and I've always been under the impression they were both from Austria. I was told neither sister married, however Rudolf , who was born in 1876, married Agnes Grosjean of San Francisco.

Their daughter, my grandmother Ida, was born in Mower County Minnesota, in 1876. Three of Louis' brothers and a sister went to the Minnesota School for the Deaf in Faribault.
One of those brothers worked at the Mayo Clinic, but I don't know what he did.
Is Robert W. of Duluth related to you?

Hi,
I am related to Wallners from Sioux Falls, South Dakota...anyone know of these folks?
I also learned recently that there was a Wallner family in southern Minnesota that drove ambulance for the Mayo Clinic...they had a large family and both parents were deaf. I learned this from a Robert Wallner's wife in Duluth, Minnesota. I would appreciate any and all information about the South Dakota Wallner family. Thankyou, and you can reach me at my email address.
Barbara Wallner

Am looking for information on Barbara Wallner, born in Ungarn, Austria, married to Frank Hochreiter. They had 3 sons and 1 daughter. The older two sons were killed in World War I, as well as their son-in-law. Their youngest son, Frank William was born in Wien, Austria on 2/4/1903, died in New York City in 1971. Their daughter Cita Cosi lived in Yugoslavia and died in 1970. She had two daughters, one was named Cita Brateis. Frank William married a woman from Norway, I think and had one child. His wife died when the son was a baby and he married another Norwegian, Alma Warland, who raised their son. Alma was still alive in 1997 in Stavenger, Norway, but have had no word from her in 18 months.
The name Hochreiter was somehow changed to Eoste. We know only of 8 people with that name.
Any information on any of these names would be greatly appreciated.
E-mail to beoste@yahoo.com

novitzke name

Hi, you're probably no longer looking for information on Novitzke, but in case you are...the name Novitzke is, as you know, derived from the Polish Nowicki. The spelling Novitzke was given at Ellis Island in
1892 or thereabouts to a couple Valentine and Mary Nowicki (Valentine was from Cracow). "Novitzke" belongs to a single branch dating to Valentine and Mary. One other branch of cousins
that I know of are the Nowitskies, who are, typical to the family genes, quite alcoholic.
Stanley, as far as I know, is one of the sons of Valentine and Mary. My grandfather Ben Novitzke is his brother.
I believe, if I remember my geneology right, one of Stanley's sons was Bob Novitzke,
of the Whoopie Bob band in northern Wisc. However, Novitzke's tend to use the same names over
and over again, and there was another daughter Regina who settled in Milwaukee, but we lost
track of her.

Most Novitzkes live in central Wisconsin in Marathon County, however there is one
in Wyoming, one in Alaska, one in Arizona, and one in New Mexico.
Also, I am not sure who Theresa was, I can ask my father about
that. Many Novitzke women, including me and several cousins,
have been nuns in Wisconsin.

There is a genetic heart defect in our family, an extra chamber or whole.
My sister has it, and I have a brother who died from it.

I will write again, and investigate Theresa further, boy that sounds
familiar.

Carie Novitzke
