He married Hilda (last name unknown - to me) and had the following children - Martha, Orlando, Judith and Reuben. Somehow he was related to my great great grandmother's second husband, Lorens Jacobson.
Appreciate any help and/or suggestions.
Hello Dale!
Nice to hear from You, but I suspect that Your and my Ancestors doesn't match, feel sorry for that though! My Ancestors was born around 1870-1880:s. And didn't arrive in North America until the early 1900:s. As mentioned, nice to make contact though.

Hans Ferner, Sweden

Hello Hans; I am pleased to hear from you. My Great Grandfather Herman Samuelsjon Wangberg was born in Sweden in 1848 and came to America in 1881. I have copies of his emigration papers from Sweden which I am sure gives his place of birth however I am unable to read swedish so all I am certain of is his name and the dates. He ended up in Wright County ,Minnesota where he and his wife Kathrine raised their family. My Grandfather, David Alfred Wangberg relocated his family to Northern California in 1935 where most of his descendants (including myself) still live. I will ask my Aunt Virginia when I see her if she remembers any talk of relatives in Canada when she was a young girl. I will let you know what I find out.
Dale Wangberg

Hello!

I’m from Sweden, and are looking for a few of my ancestors whom we believe settled in Keewatin, Ontario? Probably ca 1900-1910 Their names are:

Karl August Wangberg, born in Sweden 29 March 1976, and his twin brother
Johan Gustav Wangberg, and
Johan Adolf Wangberg, born in Sweden, 24 January 1881.

I’ve tried the known genealogy sites but to no avail.

According to my father, 77 years of age, my grandmother did exchange mails with them, and it was even her intension to go and visit them. But her mother said no!

My father have also told me that his mother told him that the winters I Canada was so fierce, so they had to take their cattle over to the US to survive.

Kind regards

Hans Ferner, Sodertalje, Sweden
Wangbergs

I am descended from Herman and Katherine Wangberg through their son David Wangberg and his wife Josephine Kalberg. My father was Lowell Wangberg, born in Wright County Minnesota in 1916. I started this board in order to open a dialog amongst members of other Wangberg families to see how we connect. My family came from Sweden and I know that many of the Wangbergs not directly related to my line originated in Norway. There must be a common Ancestor somewhere and while it may be impossible to make positive connections that far back we can at least have fun comparing notes on our various ancestors and seeing if there are any matches.
