Jesse W. Ward, mother Bessie, Springfield Missouri
I am researching for a friend. His grandfather is Jesse W. Ward (may also actually be William Jesse Ward)born about 1908 in Missouri. I can find him in the 1920 census with mother Bessie (b abt 1890 in Missouri) who is widowed, and sister Georgia, b. abt 1912. My friend says that he was told Jesse was 3/4 Indian (although Bessie, Jesse and Georgia are listed as white on the census). Jesse was married to a woman surname NIXON (who at 100 is still living!) The census indicated that Jesse & Georgia's father was also born in Missouri. Does this look familiar to anyone? I cannot locate the family members in any other census. Thanks for looking everyone!
